This year, May 5 won’t just be a day of celebrating France’s defeat at the hands of Mexico at the Battle of Puebla 150 years ago. Next week, Live Nation will hold its first ever National Concert Day to help usher in a summer of shows throughout 2015.
To celebrate, a whole day of sets will take place in New York City for the 2015 Summer Spotlight presented by Hilton at Irving Plaza. Florida Georgia Line and Kid Rock are the headliners, with other artists making what are billed as special appearances from the likes of Smashing Pumpkins‘ Billy Corgan, Kip Moore, Metric, Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe, Wiz Khalifa, Foreigner‘s Mick Jones, Lifehouse‘s Jason Wade and Bryce Soderberg, plus Brandon Boyd and Mike Einziger of Incubus.
